Choosing your map
What is the difference between Standard, Premium and Exclusive?

The three levels exist for the 2D, 3D and LED world maps. The wood, the cut and the finish are identical: only the engraved detail changes.
How do I choose the right size?

Width × height of the assembled world map. Leave 15 to 20 cm of space around it and aim for about two thirds of the width of the furniture below. Read the size guide.
What is the difference between 2D, 3D and LED maps?
The 2D map is a single 6 mm layer of birch. The 3D map stacks several layers of different thicknesses to create relief. The LED map is a 2D map backlit by LEDs placed behind it.
Are the names engraved in French?
Names are engraved in English by default. We can make your map in French: write to us before you order at contact@cartes-du-monde.com.
Can you make a custom map?
Yes. We can change the language or the tone, make a map of a specific place, add particular symbols or your company logo. Tell us about your project.
Mounting and removal
How do I fix the map?
Double-sided tape is not included.
Maps without LEDs: use double-sided mounting tape or a mounting adhesive suited to your wall. The included instructions help you choose the right product and apply it.
LED maps: use standoff fixings or a mounting adhesive suited to the weight of the map, following the LED instructions. Do not use double-sided tape alone: it is not suited to their weight.
How long does mounting take?
Usually 1 to 2 hours, depending on the size of the map. The included positioning templates guide you piece by piece.
Can I remove the map without damaging it or the wall?
It depends on the wall surface and the fixing used. Double-sided tape or adhesive can leave marks or damage the covering, so we cannot guarantee removal without any trace. For LED maps, the method depends on the fixings (standoffs or adhesive).

When will I receive my order?

Delivery is free. Estimated times start from the order date, excluding weekends and public holidays. For an urgent delivery, write to us before you order.
Do you deliver everywhere?
Yes, we deliver to most countries, and delivery is free. Your country is not listed? Write to us.
Are there customs fees?
No customs duties for deliveries inside the European Union. Outside the EU, the destination country or the carrier may charge local taxes or fees, payable by the customer.
My map arrived damaged. What should I do?
Write to us at contact@cartes-du-monde.com with your order number and clear photos. We will find a solution quickly: repair, replacement or refund, at no cost to you.
Can I return or exchange my order?
For standard, non-custom products, you have 14 days after delivery to withdraw, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Maps made to measure or personalised are excluded, except in the case of a defect. All about returns.
Can I buy islands separately?
Of course: 21 islands and archipelagos are available in our accessories. For Antarctica or another piece, write to us.
